Why MUST have business card

Why MUST have business card

A few days ago, two sales representatives from Colonial Life were present as guest speakers in my marketing class. Both share valuable information with our students. Interestingly, none of them majored in marketing and both worked as teachers before becoming salespeople.
While both have good insights and suggestions, I can recall his name to only one of them. John has 206 connections on LinkedIn. He earned a master’s degree in education and specialized teaching. The motto is: Giving honest benefits to honest people. And his last name is Heath. Why MUST have business card

What about other sales representatives? Well, I do not know much about him. I’ll try to find it on LinkedIn. Maybe I can find it by looking at the list of Colonial Life employees at LinkedIn. There are 5,408 employees! I give up.

So how do I find John?

Well, I have his business card.

I did a quick Google search using keywords: john heath colonial life. LinkedIn John’s Profile is the first result.

What I learned from this experience is that business cards are a great marketing tool. I still remember what the two sales representatives said in the class, but only John managed to make his legacy last longer than the class session. Columnist Jonathan Long says: “Business cards are potentially obsolete physical objects your prospects keep your brand with” (2015). Why MUST have business card

Perhaps the key to success in the digital age is a small set of square card stock

Master the art of travel photography

Master the art of travel photography

Taking photos while on vacation is not an unusual activity. Tourists do it all the time to remind themselves of the wonderful moments spent there, but if you want to do more, you should try travel photography. This will require some exercise to master and you may have to go to a photography class to be really great at it, but the results are not in vain. Not only will you capture the beauty of the places you see in more detail, but also develop new fun hobbies. Here are some tips that can help you along the way.
First of all, there are equipment problems. Of course, most people believe that the higher end of your camera, the better the photo will change, but it is only valid to some extent. DSLRL camera quality is superior to pocket camera and smartphone, but only if you know how to adjust the settings. To learn this, you can go to NYC photography class and you can find out all about aperture, exposure, lighting and framing. However, if you do not have a budget, iPhone camera can also be very useful. Their quality has improved greatly and you can capture stunning frames without having to travel with a large camera.

Master the art of travel photography

Secondly, you need to do some previous research and find the best photo spots. Be open to suggestions and think outside the box. Take the “traditional” shorts, but go off the beaten path as well. Try to understand what makes each location unique to you and experiment with your location, angle, and subject. Your photos do not have to look like travel cards. Instead, you can capture the beauty of a place by capturing unusual angles and subjects. For example, if you go to a crowded city, do not just take pictures of skyscrapers; try street photography or take pictures at night, when the city reveals a new face. To get used to all the travel photography techniques, you should go to a photography course. Most major cities offer it, so you can find photography courses of Montreal, New York, Paris and many others. Master the art of travel photography

Third, you must be patient and persistent. Do not just photograph the building on leave. Immediate shots are great if you plan on photographing human subjects, but when working with landscapes you have to take some pictures until you find the right frames and lighting. For best results, return to the same place several times a day for several days in a row. In addition to finding locations from multiple perspectives, you may find something unique when you wait: a bird flies across an old temple, a mother and baby passing by, or just the sun that reveals the beautiful colors on the roof. Last but not least, do not forget that exercise makes perfect. Take as many photos as possible and do not be disappointed if your first trip photos are not National Geographic material, as they will get better over time.

Go Sky High & Ski Free in Courmayeur

Go Sky High & Ski Free in Courmayeur

Courmayeur, nestled in the Italian Alps at the foot of Mont Blanc, may be famous as an elegant ski resort but for those who want the snow and mountains without the high octane thrills, it also offers a range of other activities.
With exclusive boutiques and excellent restaurants scattered around the resort’s pretty pedestrianised centre, combined with the short transfer from Geneva to Courmayeur, it makes a wonderful spot for a winter break, even without the skiing.

Mountain Views Without Skis

Restaurants and boutiques are all very well, but if you’ve come to the Alps for stunning mountain views but don’t want to do too much walking then you’ll be thrilled to discover that the Skyway Monte Bianco cable car makes the mountains accessible to all.

First built as a way of connecting the Italians of Courmayeur with the town of Chamonix in France as early as the 1930s, the original cables were destroyed by French fighter planes during World War Two.

After the war, a station was opened at 3300m, but engineers were unable to reach the summit due to the shifting glacier ice. It wasn’t until 2015 that the top station at Punta Helbronner was finally opened at 3466m.

Today the Skyway Monte Bianco takes visitors from Courmayeur, up through a series of stations, to the summit of Mont Blanc with views of many of the Alps’ highest peaks.

Spend Time at the Skyway Stations

Starting at Pontal, visitors are swept up the face of Mont Blanc to the first station of Pavillon du Mont Fréty.

Those who just want to feel they are at the heart of the mountain landscape will enjoy spending the day at the station here, enjoying the botanical garden (which specialises in Alpine plants) or relaxing in its restaurant, shopping area or cinema.

For a truly breathtaking view of the Alps, carry on up the cable car to the top station at Punta Helbronner. The modern structure (designed to look like a shard of ice) has a 360º viewing terrace and a crystal museum, as well as a café, bar and restaurant.

Relax with a Skyway Spa

Put all thoughts of aching skiing muscles out of your mind and instead imagine staying at the Pré-Saint-Didier Spa and indulging in its ‘Spa and Cable Car’ package. The deal includes days spent on Mont Blanc at the Skyway’s beautiful stations, followed by relaxing, rejuvenating treatments in the spa’s elegant therapy rooms.

How to Get There

Since relaxation and beautiful scenery is at the heart of your winter break to Courmayeur, it’s good to know that getting there couldn’t be easier. There are regular flights from the UK to Geneva, and a short, easy transfer of an hour and a half from Geneva to Courmayeur.

For the ultimate stress-free transfer from Geneva to Courmayeur, book an executive car with Shuttle Direct before you leave home and we’ll be there to meet you at the arrivals lounge when you land and take you directly to your resort accommodation.

Why Do You Need Life Insurance

Conversation about death really needs to happen if there is no delayed concern about health problems or when age is not a factor. This is something you should talk about openly, and do it when you’re young. There are a few things you want to consider when you are planning together. You want to have the will to make sure that the issue is handled as you see fit. Another area to consider is life insurance in Greenville, SC, or with companies in your area. You really never know what the future holds for you. Every day, anytime, you can be involved in a fatal accident, an unexpected illness, or die of natural causes. Life insurance is a way to help your family and loved ones face the financial burden that may be caused by your death. Emotional worries are great, and the last thing you want to add is extra worry about how to pay mortgages, principal bills, tuition, and other expenses. Life insurance benefits can also help pay for housing taxes. Nothing will bring you back, but at least you can make it easier for the people you leave behind.
You never want to make the assumption that your family will bounce back after you die. It is possible that living parents may want to take time to work to care for children, especially after a tragic loss. You also do not want to plan a couple to remarry. You might think it could happen, but it should not be part of the financial plan. You want to do your best to let your family in a situation of having enough, through life insurance allowances, to provide the lifestyle you want them to lead. It’s important to work with a financial planner to evaluate your goals and find the best figure for your situation.

Life insurance can cover these costs as well as other expenses. You do not want to add to the burden they already feel with accumulated debt immediately. Why Do You Need Life Insurance
It is important to buy your life insurance at a younger age, when your health is at its best. Once you have your policy protected even if you suddenly find you have cancer or other conditions that might prevent you from getting protection.
